Arvind, Bug 4213574 (ORA-600 [KCBZFB_3] AND INSTANCE CRASH IN SINGLE-INSTANCE DATABASE - BUG 3704314?) explains why Bug 3704314 should NOT be labeled as RAC-specific, and what the "kill" means in this scenario. Bug 3920014 (ORA-600 [KCBZFB_3] AND ORA-7445 ERROR, DATABASE INSTANCE IS FAILING) is very relevant to your case, Oracle 9.2.0.4 on Sun Solaris 64-bit, and explains what the function kcbzfb_3 does in detail. In any case, I would strongly recommend you upgrade to a newer version, e.g., 9.2.0.8. When you seek help with ORA-600 or ORA-7445, always show the error stack. If it's long, show at least 3 or 5 functions near the top, not counting those ksexxx, kgexxx. Yong Huang > this is not a RAC datbase.
