Dick,

Yes. We use OID as a replacement for ONAMES only. We do nothing with
users in the OID product - just database names and locations.

Subject: OID question

This is a quick question for anyone who desires to reply. Currently
we're using Oracle Names for database names resolution, Yes I know it's
been deprecated. We're working on migrating to OID, but at present we
do not manage passwords and/or user identity within the directory. Has
anyone migrated from Onames to OID without getting user identification
in the middle of the road?
