AFAIK there is no OUD equivalent of the "free" license for OID for naming
purposes only. It requires a DS+ license at some considerable cost.

Is there a reason for staying with OID rather than looking at OUD
(11.1.2.3 or higher)?
For your question - ODSM to access the OID? The OIS/OUD - ODSM
combination is very sensitive to versions.

Does anyone use OID in standalone to authenticate users and manage
passwords for their databases? I am trying to install the thing and get it
running. I am using Linux 6, DB 12.1, and OID 11.1. I am not using the
Fusion Middleware. I was trying to keep it simple....
I installed the database software and created the database. I then
installed and configured the OID component. I have been searching for log
files for errors but unable to locate the log files. Nothing in the alert
log. Nothing in the weblogic logs.
When I try to use the Directory Manager website, I am able to login
successfully but when I click on any of the tabs across the top - I receive
- 'An unresolvable error has occured. Please contact your administrator
for more information.'
Sorry for the dumb question.
