Hi Chris,

I did an initial POC with an ec2 database instance and had the agent
running to our on premise EM.  I don't have it running anymore as we've
moved to RDS and other databases.

Make sure you have the security groups ports opened on ec2.  On premise
firewall may need some ports opened also for the agent to talk back.

I also had to configure ssh keys to log on from the OMS server to the EC2
instance.  In EM setup up named credentials eg oracle but put in a fake
password as it will use the ssh key to authenticate.

Regards - Stojan.

Does anyone here use on-premise OEM Cloud Control to monitor/manage Oracle
instances on AWS?

I see that Oracle has an OEM plug-in to do this.  I was sort of hoping
that we could just use our ppk for OMS <> Agent communication.  Not that I
am against a plug-in, it just looks to be a bit of configuration nightmare
and working with targets is not as streamlined.

I have been searching high and low for someone doing this but coming up
empty…maybe it can’t be done or I am just missing something.

Thanks in advance,

Chris..
