Mladen, Oracle doesn't certify file systems individually. Oracle certifies
operating systems, so any file system that runs on standard RHAS will be
certified.

Asynch IO can also help with read operations and LGWR etc.. I think that
generally multiple db writers isn't as good solution as (kernelized) asynch
IO with 1-2 db writers.
