Hi Jack,
I had to do the same thing a few months back. If memory serves the demos
directory has to be installed separately, for 11.2.0.4 if you search for
Patch 13390677 in MOS it can be found in the installation file
p13390677_112040_platform_6of7.zip.

I'm working with BLOBs and BFiles and really need the "LOB Demonstration
Files" referenced in the Large Objects docs. The demo directory doesn't
exist in any of our 11g or 12c Homes. I tried a new installation of
11.2.0.4 DB and Client on my Linux machine - not there either. Can't find
them on MOS or TechNet.
Does anyone have them to zip up and send me? I'd be eternally grateful.
I've opened an SR, but I'm not sure they can help.
