All you need from the Linux side for the masters is a knowledge of simple Unix 
commands like cp and possibly some vi.  There should never be a need to lose 
respect for the OCM.  :)

and the URL for the study is? And the suggestion to use Linux is on
what Oracle corp site? Oracle runs on the platform you wish to run it
on. Amazon is unlikely to use windows. our shop is unlikely to use VMS
but you know what Oracle works well on both.

if the masters cert worries about os specific things like kernel
parameters and relinking Oracle to take advantage of various options
then I'll lose the respect I have for it. That is or should be
reference.
