We also use PL/SQL Developer. It's *far* less expensive and for 99% of typical development, it gets the job done. It even does a few things better. We've had some issues with it against 10g databases---suddenly everyone with PLSQLDEV who tries to compile PL/SQL against a particular instance will get an ORA-3113 and the only solution we've found is to bounce the instance. Still need to work out that infrequent but seriously frustrating quirk. -----Original Message----- From: oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:oracle-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of BP Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2005 4:37 PM To: fred_fred_1@xxxxxxxxxxx Cc: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Managing developers recommendations Hi Fred, While I think TOAD is a great tool, we have decided to purchase PL/SQL Developer from for our staff: http://www.allroundautomations.nl/plsqldev.html Have a look :-) Brian Peasey On 10/12/05, Fred Smith <fred_fred_1@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi all, > My developers (who currently just use SQL Plus) now are wanting to > use Quest TOAD.
