Of course, I never meant it is optional and indeed it seems quite useful,
however, in future release. I was wondering about monitoring part.
The conclusion seems to be this - Completely optional (or rather completely
avoidable) for OEM monitoring and optional for other DBA monitoring, as of
now. Future release must see significant importance for them.

What he and Mark said is correct, they will be specifically ignored in an
upcoming EM release.  However, I wanted to add just one thing, because I
know he won’t.  This was identified as a bug  back in October last year

for the details) primarily due to the persistence - or good old English
pigheadedness if you like! J - of one of this list’s members, Niall

Actually, my concern is more oriented toward OEM, where these
database/listeners keep going in erroneous state with DBA having little
control over it. Possibly, the current OEM is not very much designed for
MGMT or the other way around.

I am planning to put these targets in OEM in blackout state, just want to
confirm, if it is safe to do so?
