But in 9205 we had issues with decode() and cursor_sharing=force setting, that 
had a far worse
impact on the business than this.. do you have the bug# handy by chance? My 
access to metablink is
slow today ... maybe because I haven't reboot my laptop in 28 hours ... And 
also on 9204 we have
about 50+ bugfixes applied, the whole list is too long.
