If you look at the requirements for Oracle in the oraprams.ini file you
will see what needs to be loaded in the OS install to satisfy Oracle
installer.
I think the file is located on Disk1/dbs/
You should be able to install Oracle on just about any OS with the
correct binaries.

Hello:

This thread has been great, I'm in a similar situation. I was thinking

about setting up a "practice box" can Oracle 9iR2 be installed on Red
Hat
Professional Workstation? I know that it is not supported by figured
it
would be a inexpensive way to practice.

Has anyone been able to get this to work?
