RE: Killed session doesnt release resources

I am primarily using TOAD (TOP_SESSION VIEWER) It shows the session still
is on with a siad % of resources.The status on v$SESSION shows it to be
killed.Often I find it blocked for hours together.Is there any way to
manually call SMON to clean up.
