Beyond doing a silent install with a response file, you can redirect your X environment to your client and do a graphical install as well. But it's usability depends heavily on the speed of the network, low-latency connections or low bandwidth may really tease you then. And, using the runInstaller is considered to be un-geeky and uncool sometimes.
