RE: Import speed falls off at 2million rows

Maybe it's not a problem with import, but a problem with your I/O performance?  
I suspect maybe you're writing to a RAID5 device and it's fast until you fill 
up the cache and then you hit the hideous reality of the RAID5 write penalty.

Take a look at "iostat -dx" or "sar -d" while the import is running to see if 
your disk service/wait times increase significantly when you see the import 
slow down.

Redo logs are now 1gb each and there are 5 groups. All data is on
netapp.
