How to change the value of Sysdate

Hi,
I believe few days back there was a discussion of changing the sysdate value
to the desired date with out changing the date value on the server and
someone had given the procedure to do it. Can anyone of you send the
procedure?
One of my developers want to do some testing by changing the sysdate value
to the next year. I really didn't expect that the request will ever come
from my developers and I was proved wrong. :-)
