Retail Company in the Greater New York City New York Area ( Long Island)
has an opening for
a sharp hands-on Oracle DBA Manager.
Selected candidate will have hands on technical responsibilities in
addition to leading/managing
a team of 3 DBAs and 2 Developers (consultants),
** Candidates MUST already be within a reasonable commute of Long Island in
order
to be considered for this position.
Base salary up to 130K..depends on experience. Also excellent benefits.
Environment:
Windows NT, Windows 20003, Windows XP, HP Tru64, Red Hat Linux, Oracle
10.1.0.3,
Oracle 10g RAC, Oracle 10g application server, OID, SSO, Oracle 10g Forms
and reports,
Mod PL/SQL, Embarcadero's ER Studio, DB Artisan and TOAD, SQL Server 2000
Hardware: Dec Alpha EC40 and DL740
*Scope of work includes:
-Data mart design and implementation
-Enterprise Data warehouse design and Implementation
-Design corporate level phonebook schema
-Design Customer Service schema
-10G RAC Implementation as a part of high availability setup initiative.
-Design corporate level backup plans.
-Implement customer service application by setting external procedures,
java stored procedures
and PL/SQL toolkit.
-10g application server setup and implementation.
-SSO implementation.
-OID/Active Directory integration.
-Implement load balancing and fail over capabilities.
-Tru64 server database server setup and configuration.
-Setup Red hat Linux clustering environment for RAC implementation
-Work with consultants to gather user requirements and convert them to
technical requirements.
-Setup development/ production environments based on the technical
Specifications.
-Design testing strategies.
-Implement UAT environment.
-Refresh UAT databases.
*Requirements:
-Sr. level Oracle DBA experience...including large database experience(gigs)
-Lead team /supervisory experience or capabilities.
-DBA responsibilities that have encompassed the majority of the
duties described in the scope of work outlined above.
*Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
