It can be used with DG but has to come off the primary node not the standby.

Does anyone know if Golden gate works with Oralce DataGuard. ie, can they
both be used in the same production database. Dataguard applying logs to a
physical standby and GG replicating some of the data in a different
environment.
Thanks

Hi,
I have a uni & Bidirectional rep lab I have described in my blog few months
ago. It's not a 19c but a GG 13 coupled with a 12c PDB using integrated
mode extraction.
here's a link if your interested.

List,
We will be setting up a golden gate with oracle 12 on Linux. It will be a
simple unidirectional replication. This will be my first time doing that.
Can anyone point to a good paper for this?
Also, what kind of monitoring do you use to check on the replication
process. TIA.
