That's easy: grant the DBA role to developers. When already at it, why
not grant the SYSDBA role too? That way they could write a script which
would perform a database maintenance, like an offline backup. You must
see how useful that would be? It looks like your company has a PHB who
decided to make his underlings do some extra work . Of course, wallets
would be a solution, but why bother?
