Scott,

It might, the instructions give the steps to enable in both directions.  I 
haven't set this up (we use VPN connections so it isn't necessary) but I will 
be happy to help in any way I can if you decide this is the way to go.

Would implementing a solution like this require Oracle Advanced Security at the 
remote database as well?  Also, the database links in question are just a few 
of the many we support, and these few are the only ones that are being impacted 
with this requirement.  Would implementing a solution like this at our local 
database, then require that any other remote databases that we have links to, 
also be configured with Advanced Security?  We’re really only trying to satisfy 
the requirement to secure communication between a few local and one remote 
database, without impacting the rest of our environment.
