Hi,
I've opened an SR with Oracle, but perhaps someone here has any experience
with this...

We are attempting to use RMAN duplicate to set up a standby database, we
have a shared NFS for the backup files (it's some sort of weird
deduplication technology)

However we're getting the following error when running the DUPLICATE TARGET
DATABASE FOR STANDBY

creating datafile file number=1 name=+prod_data
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============
RMAN-00571: ===========================================================
RMAN-03002: failure of Duplicate Db command at 06/01/2012 15:14:12
RMAN-05501: aborting duplication of target database
RMAN-03015: error occurred in stored script Memory Script
RMAN-06136: ORACLE error from auxiliary database: ORA-01180: can not create
datafile 1
ORA-01110: data file 1: '+PROD_DATA/<dbname>/datafile/system.256.777459873'

We checked and rechecked the listener config, the convert parameters and
the OMF parameters.

Alert Log is showing this:
RMAN DUPLICATE: Errors in krbm_getDupCopy
Errors in file
/u01/<dbname>/database/base/diag/rdbms/<dbname>/<dbname>/trace/<dbname>_ora_8140.trc:
ORA-19625: error identifying file
+PROD_DATA/<dbname>/datafile/system.302.782863131
ORA-17503: ksfdopn:2 Failed to open file
+PROD_DATA/<dbname>/datafile/system.302.782863131
ORA-15012: ASM file '+PROD_DATA/<dbname>/datafile/system.302.782863131'
does not exist

ASM alert is not showing anything.

the trace file only has the same contents.

This error shows up for all the datafiles.

has anyone ever come across this?

Cheers
Alan.-
