The RMAN-6136 is probably misleading. The mean error is probably coming from
ORA-1547. That is, either the datafile copy from the target db failed, or
recovery failed.
Have you got the full duplicate log?

will turn on recovery as soon as it detects that the instance is in the
mounted state. You should disable the standby in the dgmgrl and turn off log
shipping.
