NO, you cannot.=20
Files won't be accepted by the ORACLE virtual machine.
I tried and know it from experience as well as from Metalink.

Hi list,

I know it's not possible to copy datafiles from one platform to another.=20=

For example you can't copy datafiles from HPUX to AIX or from Windows to =
Linux.

But I am not sure about Linux and Solaris, if I remember correctly I have =
installed solaris binaries into linux once.
So I'm not sure about this question.

Can you copy datafiles (or a complete database) from a solaris to linux? =
would it work?=20
Have any of you tested it ?
(I cat test it as I don't have access to a Soalris right now)

Thanks for your help!
Regards
Diego
