I had similar thoughts I suppose. You have a 3TB system that you want to be highly available. What then is the motivation for moving it from one storage technology to another, especially another more complex one. There are a number of filesystems that you can use for RAC databases and if you are in the market for the hardware/dr etc that is necessary to support a highly available 3TB system you likely won't have issues with paying for them.
