Subject: RE: Connect Thru Listener for NEWLY Converted RAC DB Failing
......Basic Qs

It could be couple of issues.... The most basic one being the
ORACLE_SID. I assumed your oracle SID to be PNBRAC. Try with the SID...

Connect using SID VIA Listener is Failing i.e. sqlplus

NOTE - sqlplus system/<pwd> is successful

The second is check the log file in

Contents of "$ORACLE_CRS_HOME/log/spesuns4p-2<node 1>/racg"

ora.spesuns4p-2.ons.log ora.TSTRAC.db.log racgeut/
racgevtf/ racgmain/

Contents of "$ORACLE_CRS_HOME/log/spesuns4p-2<node 1>/racg" ora.spesuns4p-4.ons.log ora.TSTRAC.db.log racgeut/
racgevtf/ racgmain/

Following is the Output on BOTH Nodes:-

$ srvctl status service -d PNBRAC

PRKR-1001 : cluster database PNBRAC does not exist

PRKO-2005 : Application error: Failure in getting Cluster Database
Configuration for: PNBRAC

Qs Is registering of this RAC database and its instance-to-node mapping
using SRVCTL needed? If so, How?

u can chek to see the status first by "srvtcl status service -d PNBRAC".
If this does not show ur TNSEntries, then srvtcl start service -d PNBRAC

Thanks and have a good day.
