Ron,
I didn't find old file but you should be able to:

exp user@prd/{password} file=E:\Dumps\prd.ddl rows=n log=prd.ddl.log

exp user@prd/{password} file=E:\Dumps\prd.dmp indexes=n log=prd.log

You should be able to use SAMBA to mount your UNIX dmp file on the
NT box
If you have Solaris 9 it comes with it.

Ron,
We did that too. We piped a export to compress and piped that to a
split command to put it in 2G chunks.
The vendor had a little problem at first but they were able to put
it back together.

Ron,
What are you going to do with this dump file?
If you're importing to a database on your desktop I don't think
you have to FTP it at all.
I'll see if I can find the setup we used tomorrow, but I think
you can do something like this.
Let's say you have 2 or 3 machines. Machines A and C are UNIX
boxes and machine B is you desk top.
You can run import on machine A to a database on either machine
B or C.
You can run import on machine B from A to B or C.
You can run import on machine C from A to B or C.

I believe our files were 7G compressed.

Not sure when they ran this. I'd sure run it at night.=20

I am trying to FTP a 12G Oracle export dump file from Unix to my
desktop. I have tried several FTP tools and none of them will show me
any files over 999999999 in size.

Does anyone have an FTP utility that will work?

Thanks!
