Folks

Need to do 2 Benchmarks - 1st on a NON-RAC Database & 2nd on a RAC
Database. Which of the following 2 is Advisable?

1) Have separate ORACLE_HOMEs(1st - NON-RAC Single instance Oracle Setup
& 2nd - RAC related Oracle Binaries setup) & 2 corresponding separate
Databases (NON-RAC & RAC)

Qs Since Oracle Binaries & setup is different for NON-RAC Database,
Isn't this Advisable?

2) Or should 1 (i.e.RAC) Database only be used for BOTH the benchmarks
by simply bringing UP only 1 instance when doing the NON-RAC Benchmark
Run?

Any Links on this issue?

Cheers

Vivek
