True, it just depends if you are more concerned with delaying the redo-apply in 
order to prevent logical corruption from propagating to the standby, or if 
you're more concerned with the speed of failover and/or having the standby as 
up-to-date as possible for reporting.

Indeed you don´t need real time apply.

Note that redo-transport and redo-apply are independent jobs.
