Hi Tim,
It's not removed or restricted.
I've NFS-shard an ACFS volume from one Oda node to the other Oda node for
some testing purposes. And it worked fine.
I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to share to an external nfs
client.

Team,
I have a customer who inherited an ODA x5-2 and they would like to use
some of the ODA storage on other servers. In other words, is there
anything from Oracle *preventing* an ODA node from being an NFS server?
The datasheet for this appliance
<http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/database-appliance/documentation/oracle-database-appliance-ds-1867697.pdf>
mentions "External NFS storage support" under the section for "STORAGE",
which appears promising, but then there is a section entitled "Optional
Storage Expansion" that cites...
*And, to expand storage outside of the appliance, external NFS storage is
supported for online backups, data staging, or additional database files. *
...which indicates that ODA nodes can be an NFS clients, which is no big
surprise, and a darned good idea.
Does anyone know if Oracle has removed or restricted the capability for an
ODA node to be an NFS server?
Thanks in advance!
