In our case, the O/S choices are Solaris and CentOS (so far).

I forgot to mention that the official word from Oracle is in MOS Doc ID 
249212.1 in case you want to read it for yourself.  Everyone seems to have a 
slightly different interpretation of it, but my experience actually working 
with Oracle Support for systems running on VMWare has shown that my 
interpretation is fairly accurate.  One more detail - I'm running Oracle Linux 
4.7 for the App servers and Oracle Linux 5.2 for the DB servers.
