That is exactly what our problem is. It isn't supported...and we can't
afford to not have this system unsupported.
Oracle support told us that the supported configuration is CLVM with GFS,
but GFS costs money. So, we're looking for the solution with OCFS2.
Apparently, our version of OCFS2 needed to be patched.

you use the lvm2-cluster package I think it is (you better open a SR).
With a supported CLVM you can perform online resizing.

Note that we currently have these 3 machines set up with LVM2 and Oracle
Clusterware, but are not running any RAC databases, just single instance
databases. The problem we've run into is in trying to resize the LUNs.
