just not the men's room of a bar.

Okay, to justify adding to the joke thread, here is some content I haven't
seen on this thread:

In addition to the convenience of reading manuals "offline," printed copies
have the advantage that you can write on them and fix bugs in the manual and
add usage notes. I suppose you can do that as well with the right version of
adobe, and we're saving a bunch of trees. So I'm sort of on board with
Oracle maintaining the stuff on line and doing the print what you really
need stuff for yourself. (although I miss the reverie of merging rev pages
into a rack of loose leaf manuals, I guess being able to search and google
on line is adequate compensation. Oracle was glue perf anyway.)

So a third party quick reference style book up to maybe an inch and a half
thick sectioned up nicely would be pretty cool, especially if the editors
applied good guessing to leaving some white space to scratch in additions to
syntax and (horrors) documentation bug fixes.

I like books as well. For one thing they don't stop working when the =
=3D
battery dies or the power fails. They are also portable to that place =
=3D
where men get the most done.

I would like it... I'm book oriented. I printed and bound a number of =
=3D
=3D3D
the 8i manuals for reference. I find using 'help' you keep having to =
=3D3D
scroll up and down. I don't want to do and crud up the window while I'm =
=3D
=3D3D
actually trying to do something. A little reference book would suit me.
