ASO is supplied with Oracle Enterprise edition.
All the options are there and you can use it to test.
If you want to use it in production you need to pay, but do not need to
reinstall.

Greetings,
We're running 9.2.0.6 but are interested in the Advanced Security Option of 10g (to make use of its "Transparent Data Encryption" feature). Can someone confirm that the various ASO packages are in fact part of the Enterprise Edition for 10g (under "custom install"?), but since the ASO is a separately licensed option, we aren't supposed to use it until licensed?
Thanks,
Gerry
