Hi,

I have running such configuration on multiple client sites without a problem.
There was a metalink note about how to setup solaris partitions (or slices) to 
be used in ASM, but it seems to have disappeared
(note 271621.1).
But anyway, most important was that you used slice 4 as asm partitions and that 
you started few cylinders ahead (see also metalink
note 368840.1).
