When I read about Aleri a couple years ago I tried to land an interview/job
with them just to get the low-down on their database technology. Couldn't
get a word out of them. Nevertheless, this article explains their background
and proprietary "vector database" software:

You figure one of these database startups...but who knows. Aleri, for one,
is very tight-lipped in terms of putting my Oracle red dress and high heels
on to try to solicit some information:)

No, I have not heard of them.

The web site refers to in-memory products, and Cache immediately
springs to mind. If you have ever looked at that product, and can
remember Adabas, there are remarkable similarities. The key question
to ask of these vendors is what data model their product supports. The
answers can be interesting...
