Yes, I did install the OUI before attempting patchset 9205

Did you upgrade the Installer first to 10g (included in the 9.2.0.5
minipack) as per the instructions?  9.2.0.5 apparently won't install
correctly with the 9.x Installer.  There's no UNIX/Linux parameter I'm aware
of that needed to be set different from 9.2.0.x to 9.2.0.5.
