I have a 9.2.0.5 32-bit database on RHEL3/Linux 86 that I need to migrate to
a new RHEL4/Linus 86-64 node. There isn't a 9.2.0.5 version for Linux
86-64. The database is too large for export/import. We also want to
upgrade to 9.2.0.8 since it contains patches Oracle support says we need to
stop our database crashes. Eventually, we want to be on 10gR2, but need
time for extensive testing of the applications we write. I also want time
to thoroughly test the migration from 9i to 10g to get my procedures down.
The 9.2.0.5 is Standard Edition One.

I've opened an SR with Oracle, but it's been 3 days with no helpful
suggestions yet. What bothers me the most is that I opened an SR before I
started to verify my procedures and Oracle support said they would work.
Nothing but errors for 3 days.

Has anyone done this or have any suggestions?

Sandy
