Hello, is there any way to search an archive of optimal posts? I think
questions I have are common.
What are the opinions of the amount of dye being injected for fluorescein
angiograms in modern technologies i.e. Heidelberg and optos?
Does anyone regularly use 2.5cc 10%? Do you split the 5cc vile two ways? Have
there been any clinical issues or legal issues with billing?
It seems the laser based imaging systems are more sensitive so less dye is
needed for an image- what effect does this have on the results though? If less
due is present does less dye leak? In the case of immediate extravascation,
I've been able to get a transit on probably .1cc on the optos.
This sounds like a way to keep it safer for patients if 2.5cc is adequate for
excellent results.
