We do this on occasion at Stanford. Our ocular oncology doctor especially
appreciates this, since he is able to track the historic progression of
nevi over time.

When I did this in the past for a previous practice, I would call the
referring office or destination to find out if they had a Heidelberg. If so
would I would walk them through the process of exporting or importing the
e2e files, even had a document I could email to show them the steps. I
found most clinics were not experienced with this (OHSU was the
exception!), but a lot of them were excited once they realized how easy it
is.

We commonly export and import e2e files from Heyex to and from other
providers.

Fellow Imagers
I'm curious if anyone out there is actually importing raw OCT data, with
any regularity, for new pts transferring care into your practice?
One of our providers asked if i could export data for a pt who is moving
away. Ultimately i told him the pt. was better off with paper because
whatever practice the pt moved to probably wouldn't have anyone who knew
what to do with the raw scans.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
