Denice, open the WSCapture file on c drive, Make a copy of OISDFC.ini file.
Then open the original OISDFC.ini file, scroll down to “Download1” subheading,
DLF Format should be “6” for Jpeg
Save file and restart.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [optimal] From Denice Barsness OIS Winstation 5000 woes
So, we had a power outage last week and since then nothing but woes with my
OIS/Merge Winstation 5000 and downloading images
I cannot get a download, either by record or single image, in ANY format.
They all download as Windows Commoner Files
Weirdly, I can open a single file in PAINT and view it, then save as a JPEG
I fear the writing is on the wall. New system. Mine is 12 years old but love
this Topcon 50EX camera.
Throw out the entire system camera and software and start over?
Find new operating system, new Chip Camera for Topcon 50EX
Have been in conversations with Topcon. What other solutions are my brethren
finding out?
Can we start a dialogue on this as I am sure others are scrambling as well

Denice,
Not sure if this has anything to do with it but quick question, did you
recently upgrade your OS to Windows 10 (because they're not supporting anything
older)? If so, did it start before or after the upgrade?

Subject: [optimal] OIS problem file formating
Lately, when I save OIS fundus photos choosing Loss Less JPEF I get a Windows
Shell Common file instead
Any ideas why this is happening? Any fixes?
Opening these files can allow experienced users to potentially troubleshoot
issues within Windows but should not be attempted by those without experience,
as it is easy to make a mistake and damage your operating system. "Windows
Shell Common DLL" is associated with the shell32. dll file.
