We have been in touch with a travel advisor, Jo, regarding the possibility
of booking a group flight to Malaga.
Flights-wise here are the options on our dates:
Thursday 25th Manchester to Malaga (local departure times)
Ryanair 10.00 or 19.55
Easyjet 06.10
Jet2 09.45 or 20.40
Monday 29th Malaga to Manchester
Ryanair 13.50 or 17.25
Easyjet 10.50
Jet2 14.50 or 20.40
Jo is able to take a group allocation on any of these flights and has made
some enquiries. A group allocation for 40 people on the Jet 2 flights,
leaving at 09.45 and returning and 14.50 would be £297 per person. It would
be a similar price on Easyjet.
The benefits of taking a group allocation are that it evens out the price
for everyone in the group. The current online price for these flights is
£203. Group prices are always more expensive as they ‘even out’ prices for
a group. If everyone were to book individually the first person may pay
£203, the 20th person may be £300 and the 40th person may pay £450. You
also have the following benefits with a group flight:
· Low non-refundable deposit of just GBP 30.00 per passenger secures
your seats
· Balance is not required until 12 weeks prior to departure
· Full passenger names are not required until 2 weeks prior
· Complimentary airport check-in and reserved seating
Obviously, we are aware that this quote is probably much higher than people
hoped and you may want to shop around and organise your own flights.
Please reply to this email by October 17th and let us know if you want to go
with Jo’s option (in which case I’ll forward your email to her and she’ll
take it from there)
or organise your own travel arrangements. Please make sure you reply to
flobertrand@xxxxxxxxxxx, and not to the whole list.
We’ll deal with accommodation arrangements as soon as we have final numbers
