This creates an enormous problem for acceptance of HD in Europe - If
current PAL image quality approaches HD today and is already 16/9
format, why would anyone want to buy an HD set just for a small
increment in picture quality, particularly in the 32" range where most
European sets are sized? In the US the difference between NTSC and ATSC
is significant and the new sets make a huge difference to the consumer,
not so in the UK.
