John,

I am interested to know where you get your information from. Are you
saying for instance, that the plasma panel displays sold in the UK, (of
which there are considerably more than "virtually NONE", are of lower
resolution than those sold in the US? I am of the understanding that
such displays are of generally universal application. My own Philips
FD9954 display is certainly better than many on the market and this
is/was sold in the UK.

The worse part is that virtually NONE of the widescreen displays on the=20
market in the UK are HD capable.  Soooo...not only do you have to=20
subscribe to a 2nd service to get your HD, you have to buy ANOTHER new=20
display!

Now that, my friends, is a mess.
