Nyquist applies to ongoing signals.  If Nyquist were to apply to 
displays, they would already be practically at the Nyquist limit.  1919 
alternating black and white lines (just under 960 of each) in 1920 
pixels would satisfy Nyquist, if it applied.  But fixed displays are not 
ongoing signals.

The better model is Kell, and just as Kell, himself, said there would be 
dispute over his factor, there is dispute over the filtering required.
