With a name like Birkmaier, I'm not likely to be considered kin, when Nancy and I finally get to visit Ireland so day in the future. But Germans make good beer, and the Hogtown Irish Red we brew at Swamp Head would probably earn me a few Slainte's at the pub.
Then again, with a name like Craig, I may find the reception in Scotland more to my liking, especially should I have the pleasure of visiting Islay, and the many single malt distilleries that produce some of the best Scotches in the world.
