Yes, While at ATSC I also experienced this same frustration and
disillusionment while attempting to work *with* CE companies and the two
Broadcast networks who were their sycophants.

This type of funding works both ways. Industries that have an economic
motivation to disprove climate change do also heavily fund, generally
through trusts, the work of certain scientists and think tanks in order to
counter the claims of  warming/climate change advocates.
