  I thin you are OK. The mini can be used with the 23" apple cinema 
display which is 1920 x 1200 via DVI. The VGA output is "limited" to 
1920 x 1080. I think the problem I am concerned about is moving 
uncompressed 1920 x 1080 through the system and AGP busses. The MPEG 
decode buffers and scaling are in the ATI chip, so it should work 
fine for any source with up to 1280 x 720 resolution.
