Monty, most of your recent posts are missing the link to the article, when
viewed from the archives. Only one came through this time, the first one you
posted. I was curious what this article had to say.
I've used both VGA/RGB and HDMI, from PC to TV. New PCs and new TVs tend not to
have analog display interfaces anymore, but luckily, most PCs seem to have HDMI
output, even business-oriented ones. And of course, TVs now have multiple HDMI
inputs. Used to be, if a PC had DisplayPort out, it wouldn't have HDMI
(although adapters are available for that). Now they tend to have both. So
connections should be easy.
Haven't tried with 4K TVs, but with HDTVs, it works well. Might not work quite
so well if you're right up against the screen, but that's not how most people
watch TV! Up very close, you will start to see individual pixels, in TVs of any
largish size. From a normal seating position, a few feet, no problem at all. If
there's any overscan in HDTVs, it's not enough to even be noticeable, in my
experience.
