The result is, it's much more convenient for the viewers to believe it's the fault of the cable companies who then get all the blame. Most of these comments mention that cable subscribers are outraged and plan to switch providers. The viewers want to express their frustration and outrage and the cable companies are the ones on the receiving end of the very bad publicity, especially when the viewers learn the shows they missed on cable will be rebroadcast for *free* on over the air "Antenna TV".
Welcome to the world of government regulated monopolies. Cable is not far behind the Telcos in terms of customer loathing and hatred.
As for broadcasters, the problem is less hate or loathing, more disinterest. BUTWe dropped out newspaper subscription because of dissatisfaction with the product - especially their editorial slant.
We stopped watching most broadcast TV shows because they became less entertaining and vehicles for social gerrymandering, and we stopped watching broadcast TV news because it has become a propaganda machine for the politicians.
