True enough, Cliff, but it was the content owners rather than the

While they state as you have that it's the content owners who are responsible, the cable companies come away with the huge black eye because they are by far the more visible to the viewers.

The result is, it's much more convenient for the viewers to believe it's the fault of the cable companies who then get all the blame.

Most of these comments mention that cable subscribers are outraged and plan to switch providers.

The viewers want to express their frustration and outrage and the cable companies are the ones on the receiving end of the very bad publicity, especially when the viewers learn the shows they missed on cable will be rebroadcast for *free* on over the air "Antenna TV".
