US FCC wants radio, TV to keep tapes of shows - Jul 7, 2004 06:16 PM (Reuters) WASHINGTON, July 7 (Reuters) - U.S. communications regulators proposed on Wednesday that radio and television broadcasters keep recordings of their programming for a period of time to help the agency enforce federal indecency standards. The Federal Communications Commission proposed that stations keep recordings for shows that air between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. and asked for comment on how long they should be required to retain them, possibly two to three months.
